Over the past 11 years DQI has been used on over 1,400 projects. Our Clients have used DQI on projects ranging in value from under
£1 million to over £200 million. DQI can be applied on new build projects as well as refurbishments and is often used as a way to capture Post Occupancy Evaluation (POE) of existing facilities.
DQI has been used by Clients for many reasons. These have included the following: evaluating and improving design, increasing the value of current or future assets, highlighting where capital spend could be best placed, highlighting operational issues at both design and in use stages, increasing staff productivity, enhancing the quality of space, in writing or clarifying project briefs, in setting aspirations for projects and teams. It also helps in reducing whole life costs, user complaints, energy consumption; interrogating project designs, engaging stakeholders during planning, design, construction and in operation; gathering post occupancy feedback and incorporating feedback into future schemes, and finally contributing to a BREEAM Excellent rating.
